“In the Making” represents Despina’s current artistic style and showcases her dedication to authenticity and her love of the craft. It encompasses 21 pieces from five different series: 613; Living in Color; Pink Triangle; Peacock; and Scattered. All of the paintings in this exhibit were created between July 2023 and January 2024 with the exception of “Peacock” (July 2021) from the Peacock Series.

“We were fortunate to host Despina’s art at the Happy Goat (Laurel) cafe through January 2024. Her vibrant paintings filled our walls with beautiful and smooth movement, colours with some strong messages. Working with Despina was smooth and sweet. We hope to see more of her work at our cafes and other spots in Ottawa” - Jad, Manager of Happy Goat Coffee Company (Laurel location).
